A symbol for Thor and for Christmas in the Nordics!
According to Norse mythology, the thunder god Thor has a chariot pulled by two goats. Their names are Tanngrisner and Tanngnjost, which means "The space between the teeth" and "The tooth-gnashing one". These names are thought to refer to the sound of lightning, and the Vikings believed that thunder was the sound of Thor's chariot being pulled across the sky.
In more modern times, Thor's goats are often seen at Christmas time - but you might not know it. The classic Christmas goat made of hay or straw is a well-known motif, and it can actually be traced all the way back to Thor's goats.
The pendant is 17 x 11 mm and is made of genuine 925s silver.
