Beautiful and truly detailed pendant made of 925s Sterling Silver!
An exciting find from Revninge on Funen. This pendant depicts one of the Norse gods - perhaps Freja or Frej - and is one of the larger finds made in Denmark!
The original figure was found on April 22, 2014, by an amateur archaeologist with a metal detector. The find received great international attention, partly due to the design of the figure itself. This type of small human-like figure is incredibly rare from the Viking Age, and additionally, it is quite unique that the head is shaped three-dimensionally, while the body is flat and two-dimensional.
The original is made of gilded silver, but here the copy is instead in Sterling silver.
This pendant is 46mm high and 15mm wide. The hole for the chain is approximately 2mm in size, and all chains 2mm and smaller fit this pendant.
