The guide is first mentioned in the Icelandic Huld manuscript, written by Geir Vigfússon in 1860. The guide rune is therefore not a part of the Viking Age but a symbol often associated with Vikings.
This necklace is approximately 2.8cm in diameter. The hole has a maximum passage of 3mm, and all chains of 3mm or less will fit this pendant.
