Here is a different motif for those of you who love Norse mythology and history!
The focal point of this pendant is the Valknut symbol. This symbol has been found on Viking Age memorial stones found in Gotland and on grave goods found in Norway. The name Valknut has been given to the symbol in recent times, as little is known about the original meaning of the knot. It is believed that the Valknut is to honor fallen warriors, and therefore the knot with the three overlapping triangles is also called the Death Knot.
Around this are the Futhark runes arranged in a circle, surrounding the Valknut in the center. The Futhark runes were originally inspired by the Greek and Roman alphabets, but were developed into an independent writing system, adapted to the language spoken in the Nordic and Germanic areas. It began with the rune row fu-þ-ark, which later gave the runic alphabet the name 'futhark'.
The pendant is made of genuine 925s silver and has a diameter of 27mm. The hole for the chain is 4mm, so all chains of 4mm or less will fit this pendant.
