The brooch here is a copy of a genuine Viking piece of jewelery found on Bejsebakken in Aalborg. The brooch is one of several pieces of jewelery of the same type found in the area around Aalborg.
The beautiful and detailed pattern is called ring chains. Ring leather is typical of the Borrestileen, one of the styles used by the Vikings. The original dates from the first half of the 900s.
The piece has a diameter of 32 mm and is made of bronze.
