A beautiful Icelandic rune, here designed as a pendant for a necklace.
Aegishjalmur; loosely translated to the Helm of Awe, is an Icelandic rune from the Huld manuscript, which is both created to instill fear among one's enemies and to protect the bearer of the rune.
Ægishjalmuris first mentioned in the Icelandic Huld manuscript, written by Geir Vigfússon in 1860. ægishjalmurthe rune is therefore not a part of the Viking Age but a symbol often associated with the Vikings.
This pendant has a diameter of 1.8cm, the hole for the chain is 6mm, and all chains of 6mm or smaller fit this pendant.
