Aegishjalmur; loosely translated to the Helm of Awe, is an Icelandic rune from the Huld manuscript, which is both created to instill fear among one's enemies and to protect the bearer of the rune.
Ægishjalmur is first mentioned in the Icelandic Huld manuscript, written by Geir Vigfússon in 1860. Ægishjalmur the rune is therefore not a part of the Viking Age, but a symbol often associated with Vikings.
This pendant has a diameter of 2.4cm, the hole for the chain to go through is 3mm, and all chains of 3mm or smaller fit this pendant.
