Beautiful and simple ring with historical roots!
This ring is decorated with futhark runes. The Futhark runes were originally inspired by the Greek and Roman alphabets, but were developed into an independent writing system adapted to the languages spoken in the Nordic and Germanic areas. It began with the rune sequence fu-þ-ark, which later gave the runic alphabet the name 'futhark'.
The runes here can be translated to "The Invincible One", and it is supposed to bring the wearer of the ring strength, endurance, courage and patience.
Rings like this or bracelets were worn both as decoration and a status symbol, and were also used as a means of payment. That is why rings are found everywhere in the Viking area.
The ring is made of genuine silver, which has been oxidized and then polished so that the runes stand out clearly. The ring is 9mm wide.
