Rock carvings have been found all over Denmark and all of Scandinavia. These have certainly been of great importance to society and the people.
Rock carvings are motifs drawn on rock faces, and most Danish rock carvings have been found on Bornholm. It is believed that these motifs have had great cultural and religious significance, and they may have been used to communicate with the gods.
Original drawings can be seen at Tanum's Hällristningsmuseum in Sweden.
