Great museum copy with great details!
The ring here is a beautiful copy of a find from Vestermarie on Bornholm. The original dates from the Viking Age and is now on display at the National Museum.
The ring's beautiful appearance is made up of thin twisted wires that wrap around a slightly thicker wire. This design required great craftsmanship and is a sign of the blacksmith's talent.
Rings like this and bracelets were worn as ornaments and status symbols, and were also used as a means of payment. This spread them everywhere the Vikings traveled, and countless rings have been found throughout the Viking area.
The ring is made of real silver.
