Learn to braid Viking braid for a beautiful and modern Viking look.
Learn to braid the Viking braid when hairstylist Annette Collin comes to Ydale to hold a 2-hour workshop.
Annette is the author of the popular braiding books "Vikingeflet" & "Skjoldmøen & Vikingen". Based on historical sources and with a lot of creative imagination, she has free-styled braided hairstyles inspired by Viking Age hair fashion.
Annette will teach you French braid and Dutch braid. Then you choose a complete braided hairstyle from one of the books yourself, and you work in pairs.
Max. 10 participants. You must register in pairs, so that you can braid each other, and ideally have shoulder-length hair and preferably longer.
Participant: 14 years plus, both for men & women.
There will be an opportunity to try hair rings and brooches from Ydale for decoration in the hair. See more on her Instagram @viking_mood
During the evening, mead from the mead farm (and soda) will be served as well as some sweets.
