This beautiful replica of the well-known Dagmar Cross, which is exhibited at the National Museum in Copenhagen, is slightly larger and slightly sturdier than what is typically found at jewelry retailers. It is well-suited for men and women who desire a piece of jewelry with a bit more weight.
Dagmar was married to Valdemar II the Victorious in 1205, and folk songs from this period describe her as beautiful and beloved by the people. This detailed cross was found in an excavation at St. Bendt's Church in Ringsted and was quickly associated with Dagmar.
This pendant is approximately 38mm high and 32mm wide. The hole for the chain is 5mm, so all chains 5mm or smaller will fit this pendant.
