The Dream Rune is first mentioned in the Icelandic Huld manuscript, written by Geir Vigfusson in 1860. The dream rune is therefore not part of the Viking Age, but a symbol often associated with Vikings.
In the Viking Age, dream interpretation and divination were left to the völv, who were believed to have magical powers. Several graves have been found that are believed to be völv graves, including in Fyrkat near Hobro.
The earrings are 14 x 25 mm and are made of genuine gold-plated 925s silver.
