In the Viking Age, snakes were seen as a symbol of water and fertility. They were also seen as the gatekeeper to the underworld, guarding earthly and spiritual values. It was believed that because of the snake's transmigration, it was immortal.
These earrings are approx. 5.0cm x 1.2cm. The price is of course for a pair.
The stem that goes through the ear is made of gold-plated silver and is therefore nickel-free.
