Beautiful pendant of the famous Hedeby coin made of 925s Sterling Silver!
This fantastic piece of jewelry is inspired by one of the Hedeby coins. Hedeby was one of the Vikings' most important cities due to its strategic location and proximity to major trade routes. It was also here that the Vikings began to produce their own coins in the 8th and 9th centuries.
Around the mid-11th century, the town was destroyed, and no more Hedeby coins were produced thereafter. The original Hedeby coin is displayed at the Viking Museum Haithabu in Schleswig.
This beautiful pendant depicts a stunning Viking ship, the most feared and iconic from the Viking Age. The Viking ships were versatile and allowed the Vikings to raid and conquer our neighbors.
Hedeby coins were the first Nordic coins minted in the early 9th century in the Viking town of Hedeby in southern Jutland.
This pendant has a diameter of 25mm. The hole that the chain passes through is 4mm. Therefore, all chains of 4mm and under will fit this pendant.
