This ring is a testament to incredibly talented craftsmanship!
The ring's design draws inspiration from a genuine find dated to around the 9th-10th century. The design with the two spirals that twist into each other is a sign that the blacksmith had amazing skills in his craft.
The two spirals also have symbolic meaning. They represent change and development, and they are worn as amulets for fertility, vitality and renewal.
The clockwise spiral represents energy charging, while the anticlockwise spiral represents energy discharging. It is thus the eternal alternation between relaxation and effort, ambition and rest.
Rings like this and bracelets were worn as ornaments and status symbols during the Viking Age, and were even used as a means of payment. As a result, they were spread everywhere the Vikings traveled, and for the same reason, countless rings have been found throughout the Viking area.
The ring is made of genuine silver and is 9mm wide.
