A bronze amulet with Vegvísir, also known as the Wayfinder.
The name means “the one who shows the way,” and the motif is associated with finding direction in storms and unfamiliar terrain. The symbol is described in the Icelandic Huld manuscript from the 19th century.
The manuscript is around 800 years younger than the Viking Age, so it cannot be established that the symbol was used by the Vikings. Today it is often worn as a symbol of direction and new beginnings.
Chain not included.
