A Yggdrasil medallion in Steel with the Tree of Life as the central motif. The piece brings together several of the worlds and beings of Norse mythology in one symbol.
Yggdrasil is described as a mighty, evergreen ash tree whose crown reaches all the way to the sky. The tree’s three roots lead to Hel, Jotunheim, and Niflheim.
At the roots and in the crown are, among others, the dragon Nidhug, four deer, an eagle, and the hawk Vederfølner. The motif therefore tells of the world tree’s place in Norse cosmology.
The chain shown in the pictures is included.
