This fantastic piece of jewelry shows the basic elements of Norse mythology.

The piece of jewelry here is a copy of an authentic Viking piece of jewelry found in Vårby in Sweden. The original is now on display at the Historical Museum in Stockholm.

Odin is seen in the center, and at his sides are the two ravens, Hugin and Munin. Hugin and Munin mean "the thought" and "the memory" respectively.

Every morning the two ravens flew out into the world, and every evening they returned and landed on Odin's shoulders. Here they told him about everything that had happened in both the worlds of the gods and the worlds of men. Among other things, Odin is known as the God of Wisdom and as the Raven God.

It is all tied together by the Midgard Serpent, which with its two heads – one at each end – holds the world together.

The piece is 25 x 24 mm and is made of bronze.
