Beautiful pendant with a nice stylized design!
This coin is cast in bronze and bears the motif of the Lamb of God. In the Gospel of John, Jesus is referred to as the "Lamb of God", and this is therefore a motif often associated with Christianity.
However, the motif has also been found on many coins cast at the end of the Viking Age. Patterns with this or similar motifs have been produced under the kings Canute the Great (1014-1035), Hardeknut (1035-1042), Magnus the Good (1042-1047), Svend Estridsen (1047-1075) and others.
The coin here therefore carries a beautiful motif with a rich history behind it.
