Beautiful dangling earrings with the Ægishjalmur rune staff in gold-plated silver!
Ægishjalmur; also known as Ægir's Helmet and loosely translated as the Helmet of Honor, is an Icelandic rune from the Huld manuscript , which is partly designed to create fear among one's enemies as well as to protect the wearer of the rune.
Ægishjalmur is first mentioned in the Icelandic Huld manuscript, written by Geir Vigfusson in 1860. The Æ gishjalmur rune is therefore not part of the Viking Age, but a symbol often associated with Vikings.
The dangle earrings are 15 x 25 mm and are made of gold-plated 925 silver.
