This beautiful and simple necklace depicts a rock carving found in the Altafjord, which is located in northern Norway. Rock carvings are motifs carved into rock walls 6-7000 years ago, and they depict everything from bear hunting and fishing to animals and human portraits.
This motif is just one of several thousands found on the rock walls in the Altafjord, and the necklace therefore implies both history and culture. The simple yet effective design works wonderfully with the thin black veneer wood, making the necklace a beautiful addition to one's look.
