Beautiful Thor's Hammer pendant with authentic roots!
Thor's hammer Mjölner is one of the most well-known and recognizable symbols from Norse mythology! Mjölner has been found as a motif on countless jewelry and other finds from the Viking Age throughout the Viking area.
This pendant is a copy of a genuine find from Mandemark on Møn, and the original dates from the Viking Age.
In the Viking Age, the hammer was worn as proof of one's faith in the Norse gods, and today Thor's hammer is often worn as a symbol of strength, perseverance, and Nordic roots.
This Thor's Hammer is decorated with a beautiful and stylized raven head, which is a reference to Odin. According to Old Norse mythology, Odin had two ravens named Hugin and Munin. The names mean "thought" and "memory" respectively. Every morning the two ravens flew out into the world, and every evening they returned and landed on Odin's shoulders. Here they told him about everything that had happened in both the worlds of the gods and humans. Odin is known, among other things, as the God of Wisdom and as the Raven God.
This authentic pendant therefore honors both Thor and Odin as two of the most central gods in Norse mythology.
The pendant is made of bronze and is 30 x 21 mm.
