A beautiful pendant with mythological roots!
Thor's hammer Mjölner is one of the most well-known and recognizable symbols from Norse mythology! Mjölner has been found as a motif on countless jewelry and other finds from the Viking Age throughout the Viking area.
In the Viking Age, the hammer was carried as proof of one's faith in the Norse gods, and today Thor's hammer is often carried as a symbol of strength, perseverance, and Nordic roots.
This Thor's hammer is also decorated with a goat's head. According to Norse mythology, Thor travels in a chariot pulled by two goats named Tandgnost and Tandgrisner, originally Tanngnjóstr and Tanngrísnir ('the teeth-grinder' and 'the teeth-sniffer') . As he rides across the sky in his chariot, he produces thunder and lightning with his hammer.
The pendant is made of genuine 925s silver and is 38 x 24 mm.
