The world tree Yggdrasil is, according to Norse mythology, the center of the world. The mighty, evergreen ash tree has its three roots in the realm of the dead, the world of giants and the world of men. There are also three springs at the three roots, including Mimer's well, from which Odin draws his wisdom with his eye as payment. The name Yggdrasil can be translated as "Ygg's horse", and Ygg, meaning "the terrible one", is one of Odin's epithets.
The pendant is made of 925s silver and has a diameter of 27mm. The hole for the chain is 3mm, so all chains of 3mm or less will fit this pendant.
