Beautiful raven brooch in bronze!
According to Old Norse mythology, Odin had two ravens named Hugin and Munin. The names mean "the thought" and "the memory" respectively. Every morning the two ravens flew out into the world, and every evening they returned and landed on Odin's shoulders. Here they told him about everything that had happened in both the worlds of the gods and the worlds of men. Among other things, Odin is known as the God of Wisdom and as the Raven God.
This fantastically detailed brooch depicts one of Odin's ravens in a beautiful and effective design. The motif is beautifully made in bronze, and all the beautiful details and patterns stand out on the polished metal.
